<article><hdr>Ground shot of a Breguet 14</hdr><body>
<hi style=afpcap>Two versions of the French Breguet 14 were operated alongside the Salmson 2A-2 to form the main two-seater aircraft of the American Expeditionary Force in France. The Breguet 14A-2 was an observation type while the 14B-2 was a day bomber. The aircraft were fitted with two different engines, consisting of the 285 h.p. Italian Fiat and the 300 h.p. French Renault V-12. A small number of Breguets were taken to the USA for evaluation at McCook Field fitted with the Liberty engine. </hi>
